The Desk
Throughout his life Steven King has tried to focus on making books, but often found it hard to draw inspiration from his surroundings. He believed he had to live something before he could write about it. Later, he learned the main components to a story can come from something somebody else said, or a random object. He started to believe art was something that inspired people to do things, and he had been living his life looking at things through the wrong perspective. When he realized this he changed his big desk in the middle of the room to a small desk in the corner. He had the " T-Rex desk" in the center at first because that is when he thought his life was the center of his writing. He changed it to a smaller desk and moved it to the corner to symbolize how he learned art was what was inspiring him.

@Raul When you say he believed "he had to live something before he could write about it" you mean he wanted to base his works off his own personal experiances?
ReplyDelete@cassandra yes, i did mean it that way because he had a hard time writing when he was doing something he considered boring.
DeleteHave any of your friends inspired you during your life?
ReplyDelete@nigel yes plenty of times when i feel like i can not do something and i see one of my friends push through their pain, it inspires me to do the same.
DeleteDO you think since he changed his perspective he started doing better in his wrting?
ReplyDelete@genave i do believe he began to write better because he could write about anything he wanted to.
